As Vice President of Human Resources at Phillips Service Industries, Inc. (PSI), Jeff oversees all human resource management and organizational development efforts at the multi-site, international engineering, manufacturing and industrial service company.  In addition to compensation and benefit design and administration, Jeff and his team are responsible for talent acquisition, retention, employee relations, training, development, compliance and safety throughout the nine diverse, wholly-owned subsidiaries of the privately-held business.  PSI delivers products and services to customers in a wide array of markets including aerospace, defense, semiconductor, energy, automotive, security and automated equipment/robotics.

 

A past President of the Detroit chapter of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management), Jeff currently serves on the Michigan Council of SHRM as Treasurer.   Jeff chaired the Michigan SHRM State Conference and Exposition in 2008 and serves on the planning committee for the 2012 event.  Jeff is a part-time instructor for the PHR/SPHR exam preparation course at Eastern Michigan University, is a guest speaker for graduate level HR courses in total rewards, and sits on the College of Business Advisory Panel to the Dean.  Jeff also serves as a reviewer and editor of articles submitted for publication by WorldatWork.

 

Holding a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and Organizational Development from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Truman State University, Jeff has nearly 20 years of experience as a human resource practitioner.  Jeff holds multiple professional certifications: GPHR (Global Professional in HR) and SPHR (Senior Professional in HR), both from the HR Certification Institute; CCP (Certified Compensation Professional), CBP (Certified Benefits Professional), and GRP (Global Remuneration Professional), all from the WorldatWork Society.
