Paul joined the Legal Department of Global Excel Management Inc. (Global Excel), and its parent company Expert Travel Financial Security (etfs) Inc., in 2006, after having worked as an attorney for a boutique firm in Montreal, Quebec.

Global Excel Management Inc. (Global Excel) was founded in 1996 to provide assistance, case management, cost containment, and claims services. An interdisciplinary staff of case managers and nurses, headed by a medical director, work closely with the cost containment team to achieve an optimal balance between case management and financial results.

Paul regularly assumes a key role in major negotiations and contract issues. Under the supervision of Global Excel’s VP General Counsel, he is responsible for contract management, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution. He is inspired by the mission statement of Global Excel’s Legal Department which is: “To provide practical and creative legal solutions to achieve business results.”

He is a member of the Barreau du Québec, Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Corporate Counsel Association, the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA) and he is an active member of the Travel and Health Insurance Association (THIA)’s Regulatory Affairs Committee.

He earned his LL.B and recently completed a Master’s program (LL.M) in Transnational and Common Law at the Université de Sherbrooke in Quebec.
